Nothing like a government shutdown to show the world just how far the Republican Party will go to get their way. The budget and the ACA are basically two different animals and need to be dealt with separately. The federal budget comes first-get that taken care of, then worry about other pieces of legislation. Very simple-and apparently too simple.

President Obama and his administration seems to need a bigger firehose to put out all these political fires around them. Looks to me like just another day at the office for him. All these critics do is make him and the Democratic Party stronger with their ridiculous attacks. Couple that with the fact the House Republicans are voting for the 37th time to repeal HealthCare Reform since it became law just shows why very little is really geting done in Washington, D.C.!

Snow in May and people are freaking out about it. I'll cut them some slack this time. One of the news channels has said today this is the first measurable amount of snow in May since 1906 or something like that. Enjoy!!!

This whole gun control issue is SERIOUSLY overblown people. These past few weeks have shown how impressively stupid a lot of Americans can be. Basically put, it's gun restriction vs. the unequivocally absurd fear of the 2nd Amendment being severely diluted. Chill out people! If a kid has 10 toys and Mommy and Daddy take away two toys, that still leaves you with eight toys to play with so for God's sake, don't annoy me with your crying. And when the gym coach tells you it's dodgeball and we use the 4-square balls, not the football, the over-inflated basketball, or any other blatantly hard ball; they are dropping an easy hint for your stupid ass that there is a BIG difference between stopping the enemy and overkill. These people with their extreme views need to take a big breath and a Valium while they're at it!

I have mixed feelings about the gun control issue-what are your thoughts?

Will our leaders EVER get our country's financial situation straightened out??? Dammit, even I can make a budget and stick to it!
